Indulge A Little
Normally with my posts I want to encourage you to eat right and get active. That's important, and it doesn't mean that you can't enjoy some sweets from time to time. I'm a firm believer in everything in moderation. And today's post really can't be changed to any form of healthy.
I attended a wine festival this past weekend with my family, and my sister found this great recipe for a Father's Day cake on Pinterest. If you love peanut butter then you are sure to love this cake.
Ingredients:
- Peanut Butter
- Nutter Butter Cookies
- Vanilla Pudding
- Cool Whip
- Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
You can start with either an 8x8 pan or a 9x13 pan. That depends on how many people you want to make this for. Then you will take some of the Nutter Butter Cookies and line the bottom of the pan with them. After that you will drizzle a cup of melted peanut butter over the cookies. Then you want to chop the Reese's Cups and add them as the next layer. After the Reese's Cups comes the vanilla pudding and then a layer of Cool Whip. If that's not enough, you repeat those layers one more time. Then you put it in the refrigerator to chill and let the cookies soften up a little bit.
I will warn you that you don't need a big piece of this at all. It is a sweet cake but it rather delicious and a little bit goes a long way. So if you have an occasion to celebrate and want a little indulgence, this is a great option.
Remember that indulging won't ruin those good healthy habits you've created. You can have everything in moderation and don't need to avoid eating certain foods.
