Create Your Entertaining Resolutions
Happy New Year! With the new year comes those resolutions and if you haven't come up with one yet then you still can, but you also don't have to feel the pressure to create one. While majority of those New Year's Resolutions have to do with being healthier, let's focus on a more social resolution.
Did attending all of those holiday parties get you in the entertaining spirit? Well, maybe you can make your resolution to become a little more of an entertainer. I chatted with lifestyle expert and host of Recipe Rehab, Evette Rios, about some easy entertaining tips to take advantage of year round.
First let's start with preparing the home. This is probably the most dreaded task as you think about entertaining family and friends for something like a SuperBowl party in February or just a fun get-together. While most of us think that cleaning the house for a party has to be an all-day affair, it really doesn't. Using something like Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Extra Power helps you clean efficiently. It has many different uses and is safe for a variety of different household purposes.
Then you want to make sure that the dishes you're preparing, come out as pristine and beautiful as possible. One helpful idea includes taking advantage of PAM cooking sprays. You won't have to deal with the stress of half of the entree getting stuck in the dish. PAM cooking sprays leave 99% less residue than your leading brands of margarine and other cookie sprays. Plus, this will help save some time in the clean up process.
Now if you're still stuck for some ideas on what to make and serve, don't worry about. You don't need to feel the stress to make everything from scratch. You can take some shortcuts on your dishes by getting the store and purchasing a couple sides or even desserts. For instance, pies from Marie Callender's look and taste like they are homemade. They include real ingredients like Fuji Apples and chocolate curls that are designed to give the pie a home-spun look.
And for those dessert toppings and even to spice up those warm winter beverages like coffee, tea, and hot cocoa you can check out some whipped topping with Reddi-Wip. It contains 15 calories per service, so those guests with the healthier resolutions won't have to feel the guilt of going for a little indulgence.
So for those of you focusing your resolutions on the social, you can easily entertain without the stress of putting on a big bash.
